NFIB Welcomes New Legislative Director

HARRISBURG, (June 1, 2014) â€" The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) which represents 14,000 small businesses in Pennsylvania, today announced that Rebecca Oyler of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, has been named state legislative director. She will lead NFIB’s day-to-day lobbying and political programs in Pennsylvania.

“Rebecca has extensive experience with complex state policy issues,” said NFIB Executive State Director Kevin Shivers. “I believe her strength at analyzing policy will come in handy when evaluating legislation that impacts small businesses in Pennsylvania. Having served as a policy director for two state agencies, Rebecca is very familiar with the legislative process, and we welcome her to our team.”

“Having grown up working in my family’s store on my hometown square, I understand that small businesses are the heart and soul of our communities, and I am excited to work on their behalf in Harrisburg with the NFIB team,” said Oyler.

Rebecca Oyler served as director of policy and planning for the Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources and as director of policy for the Dept. of State under Governors Corbett, Schweiker, and Ridge. Rebecca began her career in 1999 at the Dept. of Community and Economic Development as a policy specialist.
