PA Chamber Offers Energy Summit II

Member Group : PA Chamber of Business and Industry

In February of this year, the Pennsylvania Chamber presented the Pennsylvania Energy Summit to provide an overview of the challenges businesses will face regarding the availability of affordable energy.

Now we present the next chapter: the Pennsylvania Energy Summit II: Practical Steps You Can Take Now from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Convention Center, Camp Hill, PA.

This special event brings together top experts in the field to provide a better understanding of the solutions to today’s energy challenges, what companies should include in their plans, and what alternative types of energy they may want to consider—especially if they plan to build a new facility, expand, or upgrade their current systems.
Topics include:
• Recent federal policy developments and predictions for 2009
• The "how to" to the energy problem—companies must now begin to actively take steps to assess their future energy needs, analyze their costs, and learn how to negotiate with energy providers to find the best match for their company
• Step-by-step suggestions on exactly what to do now and how to be prepared
• Cost-cutting strategies
• Lessons learned from deregulation—from companies that have been through the process, including what worked and what didn’t
The fee to attend is $50 for PA Chamber members, $75 for non-members, and includes a continental breakfast starting at 8 a.m. The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Attached are the agenda and registration form.
