ChamberPAC Endorses Mensch for State Senate

HARRISBURG, PA – ChamberPAC, the political arm of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, announced its endorsement of state Rep. Bob Mensch for the 24th Senatorial District.

Mensch has represented part of Montgomery County in the state House of Representatives since 2007. He will face Democrat Anne Schearing in the Sept. 29th special election to fill the vacant Senate seat previously held by Sen. Robert Wonderling, who recently resigned to head the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

"Representative Mensch’s election to the state Senate would be a natural extension of his dedicated public service in the state House," said Gene Barr, PA Chamber vice president of government and public affairs.

Barr said Mensch understands the concerns of job creators and has voted consistently for policies that promote economic and job growth to the benefit of his constituents and all Pennsylvanians.

"With an economy in crisis, it is essential to have someone in office who understands what it will take to move Pennsylvania forward," said Barr, noting as well Mensch’s past 28 years of experience with AT&T.

"For these reasons, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry wholeheartedly supports his state Senate candidacy. Constituents in Montgomery County will be well served by Mensch as their senator."
