Leo Knepper becomes first director in Pennsylvania

Washington, D.C. – This week, Heritage Action for America hired Leo Knepper to be Heritage Action’s first state director in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania and North Carolina are the first two states in which Heritage Action is building out a robust grassroots infrastructure.

"Leo has deep roots in Pennsylvania politics," Heritage Action’s CEO Michael A. Needham said. "His knowledge of Pennsylvania, and the challenges it faces, will be invaluable as Heritage Action leads the fight to repeal Obamacare, reduce government spending and revive our struggling economy."

In his capacity as state director, Mr. Knepper will begin building the conservative grassroots infrastructure necessary to defeat the destructive special interests that dominate Washington politics and policymaking.
"For too long, Washington has ignored the voices of concerned citizens," Needham continued. "Heritage Action will ensure that lawmakers in Washington represent Pennsylvanians, and all Americans, not special interests."

Mr. Knepper, a Penn State graduate, has experience in Pennsylvania where he built grassroots networks to fight against abuses in the state house, including the massive uprising against the infamous midnight pay raise, and worked to elect conservative candidates. He is currently pursuing an MBA at Penn State.

With more than 700,000 members across the country, The Heritage Foundation and its affiliate organization, Heritage Action for America, are committed to building an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity and a civil society flourish.
