NEWSRADIO 1020 KDKA TO DEDICATE NEW NEWSROOM
IN MEMORY OF VETERAN PERSONALITY FRED HONSBERGER

WHAT: KDKA-AM will dedicate its new newsroom in memory of talk show host Fred Honsberger, whose 30-year KDKA career began as an anchor/reporter and news director. Honsberger died on Dec. 16, 2009. As part of the ceremony, a 30"x24" bronze plaque bearing his image made by Pittsburgh-based Matthews International Corp. will be unveiled.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 11, 2011, 11:00 am

WHERE: CBS Radio Pittsburgh studios, 651 Holiday Drive, Foster Plaza 5 (Floor 2), Pittsburgh (Green Tree) 15220.

WHO: Honsberger’s family and current KDKA personalities will be in attendance. Local dignitaries have been invited. This event is open to news media but closed to the public.
