Biden Corruption is Worse than Watergate

An intrusion into the Democratic National Committee’s Watergate headquarters dominated print and broadcast news from 1972 to 1974.

After warnings from legislators of his own party that he would likely be impeached for his role in covering up the scandal, Richard Nixon became the only U.S. president to resign.

Their Washington Post reporting on Watergate made celebrities of young reporters Carl Bernstein and Robert Woodward, and stimulated interest in investigative journalism among the then-mainstream media.

However, media’s interest proved to be both short-lived and selective.

Compared to subsequent events, Watergate was the rough equivalent of petty shoplifting, yet journalists’ interest in making careers out of investigating those later scandals has gone missing.

Bias is frequently shown in the language media uses to cover events, but bias is also clearly shown in what is not reported.

Following his presidency, Bill Clinton formed the “nonprofit” Clinton Foundation that accepted many millions of dollars from foreign governments while wife Hillary served as Secretary of State. Were those countries buying influence with the Clinton-led State Department?

While at State, Mrs. Clinton illegally used an unsecure home-based server and personal email account(s), then destroyed more than thirty-thousand emails in violation of the Federal Records Act, a law mandating the preservation of records related to the conduct of government business.

No young, ambitious corporate “journalists” showed enough curiosity about the Clintons’ potential malfeasance to investigate.

During his two terms, Barack Obama politicized federal agencies.

In an unprecedented 2012 intrusion into media affairs, Obama’s Department of Justice secretly obtained telephone records of Associated Press wire service reporters and editors. But in-the-tank media took scant interest in making an issue of it or following up.

In 2013, Obama’s Internal Revenue Service disclosed that it had targeted conservative and Tea Party groups leading up to the 2012 presidential election.

Again, legacy media made no issue of the disclosures.

Fast forward to 2019, when the establishment, including government agencies, tech companies controlling social media, and the press, generally, ignored, then, in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election, suppressed information on a number of topics including information about Joe Biden’s corruption. The contents of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop computer, verified by the FBI in 2019, clearly implicated his father.

In that case, the boycott undoubtedly delayed widespread knowledge of the evidence of Biden’s corruption, and influenced the outcome of the 2020 election. Even today, viewers who rely on CNN and MSNBC are significantly less informed about Biden family scandals.

Since 2015, corporate media have been too busy trying to prevent, then destroy Donald Trump’s presidency and future political viability to pay attention to scandals involving Democrats.

For example, the New York Times won Pulitzers for “reporting” on Trump’s “Russian collusion” that we now know was a groundless contrivance of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign carried out with the cooperation of federal agencies that knew it was false.

Prior to the 2020 election, fifty-one intelligence agency alumni, people who knew better, signed a letter characterizing the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop as “Russian disinformation.” Media ran with that fiction, protected the “Big Guy,” and dragged him across the finish line. In fact, government agencies applied pressure to media outlets and Big Tech to suppress the scandal.

But, other internet sources and government whistle-blowers rerouted the facts around the censorship with the result that, in current polls, most Americans believe that the Biden family’s influence-peddling has harvested $millions from foreign interests. The only influence Hunter had to peddle was his father’s, and he couldn’t have delivered on his “clients’ investments” without Joe’s involvement.

The Department of Justice’s recent attempt to defang its Hunter Biden dilemma with a slap on the wrist has met with firm resistance from Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.

The story is simply too big to ignore.

The evidence against the Biden family is becoming so overwhelming that Merrick Garland’s Justice Department will have no choice but to get serious, and legacy media must report it factually, if only to preserve what little credibility both have left.

Accordingly, it’s begun. Biden is becoming a party liability.

Former allies in legacy media have acknowledged Hunter’s influence peddling. His source of influence, an “indignant” and “outraged” President(ish) Biden, has been questioned about Hunter’s schemes and his involvement in them.

Tick, tick, tick…
