Convention Shows Democrats are Worried

Despite months of planning, last week’s virtual Democratic National Convention was awkward, poorly-organized, clumsily-staged, and it generated little enthusiasm. Much of it, including the “applause,” was prerecorded.

As expected, Democrats nominated former Vice-President Joe Biden, a diminished, antediluvian Washington lifer whom convention speakers labored to paint as “moderate,” even though avowed socialist Bernie Sanders primarily crafted the platform on which a malleable Biden must run.

Convention speakers’ who praised the “nice guy” nominee manufactured some, but assiduously avoided genuine facts about Biden’s policies and “accomplishments.” Indeed, the pro-Joe “speeches” could have passed as eulogies.

Cumulatively, the four-night “America is awful, vote for us” affair was a joyless, dystopian, low energy mélange of platitudes, clichés, psychological projection, negativity, misrepresentations, outright prevarications, hypocrisy, vitriolic, sometimes psychotic allegations, empty promises, a handful of vague, substance-free declarations of “things Democrats are for” (e.g., “a nation free from COVID…”), and, mostly, “things Democrats hate.”

President Donald Trump won the latter hands-down.

Among the disingenuous words/phrases recited by convention speakers were, “Let me be clear…”

But, other than hating “Trump,” nobody was.

One thing is clear, though: Democrats are worried.

Right now, if Democrats, their media surrogates and militant fringe trusted national polls and believed they’ll prevail in November, they’d already be doing things differently for the good of the nation they’ll govern: Democrats would actively oppose COVID-related shutdowns, just as they imposed none in 2009 when a Democrat occupied the White House during the swine flu pandemic, and they’d have zero tolerance for the continuing mob violence in Democrat-run jurisdictions.

Confident Democrats would quietly await January to assume power.

While the Democrat/Media Complex blames today’s disorder, much of which they started, encouraged, enabled and/or prolonged, on President Trump, a significant American majority remains silent, watching, listening.

A peaceful, prosperous America commonly reelects first-term presidents, so hard-left-liberals are determined to deny the nation peace and prosperity by keeping the economy shut down and engaging in urban violence designed to hijack America’s future.

Democrats and media are conducting a relentless COVID-19 terror campaign in order to delay America’s economic recovery and lower unemployment numbers that would strengthen President Trump’s argument for reelection.

At the same time, having failed to condemn or even mention the ongoing urban violence at their convention [Spoiler alert: Republicans will], Democrats have accused federal attempts to defuse it as “incitement,” while struggling to immunize their nominee from the anarchists’ rolling Kristallnacht that corrupt Democrats in many of America’s largest cities have at least tolerated and, in some cases, abetted.

Militant left-liberals want to make Americans feel powerless in the face of the violence, to convince America of their broad support and certain victory.

It’s a form of extortion designed to encourage a demoralized America to conclude that electing Democrats is the only way to resolve the chaos.

But, there’s little to resolve. Three million “demonstrators” – even more – are barely a rounding error in the context of 330 million Americans,.

While many demonstrators were/are obnoxious, very few actually engage(d) in violent behavior, so the numbers of urban rioters, looters, vandals and arsonists are nearly negligible.

The criminal mobs’ miniscule numbers get lots of coverage, though, because domestic terrorists make lots of noise, do lots of damage, and, mostly, because the Democrat/Media Complex imagines they’re hurting the president’s reelection chances.

Although there’s widespread revulsion in America’s heartland and suburbs for the radical chaos, so far, there appears to be little organized opposition – certainly not from elected Democrats.

But there are limits to middle America’s patience and forbearance. A large, mutually-respectful majority of Americans share cultural, social, practical and political values that offset the malignancies with which Democrats and their militant wing seek to divide them. Unless directly provoked, the silent majority will wait until November 3 to be heard.

Joe Biden received no polling enthusiasm by naming Kamala Harris as his running mate, and President Trump got the polling bounce from the Democrats’ inept virtual convention. There’s little excitement for the Biden/Harris ticket, and even less for the ticket’s hard-left platform that convention speakers ignored or glossed over.

If they genuinely believed that national polls are accurate, their policies are popular, Joe Biden’s a shoo-in, and House/Senate majorities are in the bag, the Democrat/Media Complex would also stop pushing for mail-in voting. Instead, they’d be confident of winning without the cheating and fraud to which junk mailings of unsolicited ballots to unverified recipients are susceptible.

Yes, Democrats are worried.
