Mac Zimmerman, Phil English to have a
Conversation on Federal Tax Reform
at the 2018 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference

(Harrisburg, PA) �“ The passage of federal tax reform was a huge legislative victory in 2017. Mac Zimmerman, Vice President of Legislative Affairs at Americans for Prosperity and former Congressman Phil English, co-chairman of the government relations practice at Arent Fox will have a Conversation on Tax Reform at the 2018 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. The conference will be held April 6-7, 2018 at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill (Harrisburg), PA.

This year’s featured dinner speaker at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference will be Byron York, chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner and a Fox News contributor. Charlie Kirk, founder and executive director at Turning Point, USA and Greg Wrightstone author of Inconvenient Facts will also speak. Additional speakers, panels and workshops will be announced over the coming weeks.

The Pennsylvania Leadership Conference is the premiere gathering of public policy conservatives each year in the Keystone State. It is the largest and longest-running of the state-based conservative conferences regularly attracting a long list of conservative elected officials, scholars, journalists and activists for two days of speeches, panel presentations, workshops and networking.

Mac Zimmerman is the Vice President of Legislative Affairs at Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest free-market advocacy group. Before taking up his position at AFP, Mac worked for the International Republican Institute (IRI), promoting democracy in Asia. Prior to his time at IRI, Mac spent a decade as a staffer on Capitol Hill. He has also worked as a foreign election observer, political consultant, journalist and editor. His work has appeared in many well-known publications, including The Investor’s Business Daily, Orange County Register and The Wall Street Journal.

Philip English, former U.S. Congressman is a senior government relations advisor at Arent Fox and serves as co-chair, along with former Sen. Byron Dorgan, of the firm’s government relations practice. While in Congress, he developed an interest and rich experience in trade, health care, and tax and energy policy. Phil currently assists clients in these areas, plus state and municipal government operations.

Phil currently serves as Coordinator of the Healthcare Group Purchasing Industry Initiative (HGPII), which enforces industry standards, promotes best business practices, and monitors adherence to its ethics code by healthcare group purchasing organizations (GPOs). HGPII is an independent ethics oversight organization with responsibility for a major part of the healthcare supply chain.

Phil is also the Co-Chair of the Institute for Representative Government (IRG). He also serves as the Honorary Co-Chairman of the Center for Strategic Tax Reform (CSTR) and Chairman of CSTR’s Board of Advisors.
