COVID: Let’s Repeat Everything We Got Wrong the First Time

At first, the media-amplified COVID-19 ignorance, misinformation and fear that influenced public policy made a fifteen-day shutdown to “flatten the curve” of hospitalizations seem reasonable.
But, then, although lockdowns have never been used for disease control, elected authoritarians extended fifteen days to fifteen weeks, then thirty-plus even as information about at-risk groups, transmissibility, virulence, and effective treatments increased nearly-exponentially, and case fatality rates dropped sharply.
One suspects that perceived opportunities to force compliance proved irresistible to closeted autocrats who declared “emergencies,” then kept things shut down by making things up, while Big Tech and media suppressed common sense, positive developments, and genuine data.
We now know that officials were wrong about everything COVID-related, including mortality rates, asymptomatic spread, effective treatments, business and school shutdowns. quarantining the healthy, mask efficacy, social distancing, outdoor infections, natural immunity, variant virulence, vaccine efficacy – and side effects.
In August, 2023, the World Health Organization webpage counted over 769 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 world-wide and 6,955,141 cumulative deaths, a mortality rate substantially less than 1 percent that stands in stark contrast to “experts’” early estimates of a 3.4 percent mortality rate that unnecessarily spooked nearly everyone.
Nonetheless, despite declaring COVID “over” earlier this year, President(ish) Joe Biden/his allies are again fear-mongering Americans into thinking the virus is a major threat.
Biden has asked Congress for funds to develop a new vaccine for a relatively mild flu-like subvariant. He said his administration will “likely” require all Americans, including children and those who received the initial vaccine, to receive the updated booster beginning sometime in mid-September – allowing no time for clinical trials – even though the Centers for Disease Control recently admitted that vaccines do not prevent transmission of variants.
In July, former White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said she knew that COVID-19 vaccines wouldn’t work as advertised:
“I knew these vaccines were not going to protect against infection. …I think we overplayed the vaccines, and it made people then worry that it’s not going to protect against severe disease and hospitalization.”
Even though Big Pharma and media disagree, some virologists believe that spike proteins from COVID vaccines can cause other health problems.
Now, the mainstream media and their designated “experts” are working to scare Americans into masking up – again – even though actual experts advised against public masking, and rigorous studies and randomized clinical trials failed to identify any positive effects of masks/mask mandates.
In fact, the scientific data against wearing masks, especially by children, is overwhelming.
This year, German researchers warned that mask-wearers are rebreathing carbon dioxide at levels linked with adverse effects on the body’s cardiovascular, respiratory, cognitive, and reproductive systems.
Dr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida’s Surgeon General, responded to Biden’s vaccine request and rumors of further government-imposed mandates by recommending that people simply not obey, that they resist political authoritarians, and ignore unscientific mandates and COVID-related lockdowns.
Lapado: “What do you call re-imposing mask policies that have been proven ineffective or restarting lockdowns that are known to cause harm? You don’t call it sanity.”
Lapado, on vaccines, “Florida analysis shows an 84% increased risk of cardiac death after mRNA COVID vaccines in young men. An English analysis shows a 70% increased risk in a similar age group. Two young boys in Connecticut died days after COVID vax with autopsies showing acute myocarditis.“
Plus, “Florida data and a new Swiss study show it. CDC and FDA are silent. mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are ruining trust in scientists and public health.”
Retrospectively, we have learned that COVID mandates were more about political control than health.
Research scientist Dr. Robert Malone said he opposes implementing further mandates: “I personally believe that this is more fear porn. It’s not justified.”
Nevertheless, Biden/his administration have launched a campaign to repeat everything they got wrong the first time!
Parody website The Babylon Bee nailed it: “The Center for Disease Control warned Americans this week to resume all contact precautions due to a new and rapidly-spreading ‘Electionyearicron’ COVID variant.”
Apparently, Biden’s prior COVID blunders notwithstanding, his handlers believe that, even as his administration continues admitting millions of never-tested, unvaccinated, untraceable illegal aliens across our open southern border, Americans will remain fearful, gullible or stupid enough to take COVID warnings seriously – so Jurassic Joe can “campaign” from his basement again.
