Deep Thoughts, Kamala Harris Edition

Less than favorable evaluations of Vice President Kamala Harris inevitably elicit allegations that her critics are “sexist” and/or “racist.” (Yeah, I know…what isn’t these days…?)

Nevertheless, there’s plenty of “not much” to “evaluate.”

A RedState.com commentator summarized: “Kamala Harris has and always will be her own worst enemy. It’s what happens when one’s career starts off the way Harris’ did. You begin to expect to be given preferential treatment as you climb the ladder and treated to fawning interviews…because of ‘who you are’ and what you supposedly represent from a ‘historical’ perspective.”

Examining her career suggests that Harris reached California state office and the U.S. Senate only because influential “men-tors” saw to it that Harris never faced serious opposition. Kamala’s lack of any real abilities finally became apparent in 2019 when she ran for president, and proved so unpopular that she had to withdraw before the first primary vote was cast.

Back then, few Democrats wanted her in the office, but, now, as his “natural successor,” Harris is an obviously infirm man’s single heartbeat or mental-meltdown away from the presidency.

Harris was a “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)” hire. Candidate(ish) Joe Biden had to select someone like her after promising his identity party’s “activists” a running mate who checked the DEI “female” and “black” boxes. Among the original candidates, Harris was the lone “qualifier.”

After assuming office, Biden appointed Harris “border czar” to “solve” the southern border crisis he created. Instead, conditions worsened. Harris was also tasked with “protecting” voting rights, following which she claimed voting rights were under assault “across our nation.” Harris was ignored, because, constitutionally, states set their own voting laws.

Then Harris was assigned developmental oversight for “Artificial Intelligence,” almost immediately following which “artificial intelligence” and Kamala’s “natural ignorance” of it were proven fundamentally incompatible.

Apparently determined to convince audiences that she is “on top of things” even when she’s clueless – and Harris is frequently clueless – Kamala is incapable of saying, “I don’t know” or “I’ll check and call you later.” Instead, Harris tosses cringe-worthy word salads and cackles inappropriately. Nonetheless,  she always appears somehow impressed with her own prevarications and gibberish.

Some favorites:

The New York Post described her reaction to a reporter’s question following Biden’s disastrous 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan: “‘Hold on, hold on — slow down, everybody!’ Harris said, before letting out her now-notorious laugh, shaking her shoulders as she chuckled. … The VP finally controlled herself to insist that the Biden administration ‘couldn’t have a higher priority right now’ than Afghanistan.”

Last year, Harris proclaimed, “When we talk about the children of the community, they are a children of the community.”

During a White House climate summit, Harris assured attendees that “We will work together, and will continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work…”

Kamala on “space exploration”: “Space is exciting. It spurs our imaginations, and it forces us to ask big questions. Space, it affects us all and it connects us all.”

Harris, responding to question about Pell Grants (You don’t know what Pell Grants are? You’re in good company. Neither did Kamala): “Um, we have definitely extended the… – and I, it’s something that I think we need to keep doing, awareness about what we have to do on Pell grants, and I can follow up…on specifically what we’ve been doing.”

Later, Kamala declaimed on the subject of…who the heck knows what?…: “That’s why we’re here today – because we have the ability to see what can be, unburdened by what has been, and then to make the possible actually happen.”

And, finally…

“We must work together. Work together. To see where we are. Where we are headed, where we are going and our vision for where we should be.”

Had enough? Quite a few people have had…

It’s become clear, even among certain prominent Democrats and liberal, Democrat-allied media outlets that Kamala Harris’ chronic bewilderment, lousy public speaking talents, pretentious insincerity, and her ear- and nerve-shattering inappropriate laughter are all political liabilities. Combined, they are – or should be – disqualifying, but if Biden withdraws, or, worse, Harris becomes the incumbent, Democrats are probably stuck with her – DEI, you know…

Meanwhile, Kamala will spend her time doing “what we have been doing. And that time is every day.”
