Heritage/FRC ‘Values Bus’ to Stop at PA Leadership Conference
"Saving the American Dream"

Harrisburg, PA — The Heritage Foundation and the Family Research Council’s Values Bus will roll into the 2012 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference March 23rd and 24th at the Radisson Penn Harris in Camp Hill. The Values Bus is touring America telling Americans about practical, conservative solutions to the most critical issues confronting our nation.

The Heritage Foundation is emphasizing restoring fiscal responsibility through its "Saving the American Dream" (http://savingthedream.org) plan and together with the Family Research Council is stressing critical values issues during their joint voter education and registration campaign.

Wrapped in a custom-jacketed "Your Money, Your Values, Your Vote" banner the Values Bus tour began its tour in January in South Carolina where Governor Nikki Haley presided over the opening events. "We’ll be saving the American Dream one bus stop at a time," said Heritage President Ed Feulner at the kick-off. "Right now, our nation is on the wrong path. If nothing is done our children and grandchildren will experience not liberty and prosperity, but more crushing debt, higher taxes and job-killing regulations."

The 15-foot- tall, 45-foot-long Values Bus sports high-speed wireless internet, flat-screen TVs and a satellite feed to maximize interactivity at stops along the way. FRC President Tony Perkins noted: This tour will speak to the views held by millions of American voters who want to see the next president address the values issues which include restoring fiscal sanity, protecting marriage, safeguarding religious liberty and protecting the rights of the unborn."

The Values Bus is just the latest addition to a growing program of activities planned for the 2012 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. The premier annual gathering of conservatives each year in Pennsylvania will also feature a keynote speech by Fox News Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume. Grover Norquist from Americans for Tax Reform and Human Events White House correspondent and political editor John Gizzi have also been announced as speakers. Candidates for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senator will debate at the conference luncheon on Saturday, March 24th.

Four interactive panel presentations will constitute the policy core of the conference with topics set to include: Right-Sizing State Government; Marcellus: How Shale We Proceed; Obama’s Regulatory Overkill; and Reaganizing the PA GOP. The Constitution Organization of Liberty (COOL) will present a pre-conference seminar on the Bill of Rights. Also scheduled for Friday morning, March 23rd, is an activist training workshop conducted by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation and the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity.

Additional featured speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
