Hoo Boy, Did We Dodge a Bullet or What?
The current anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles appear to have attracted every violent anti-American interest group in the nation. L.A. is shaping up to host another Antifa/Black Lives Matter-like “Summer of Love,” you know, the 2020 urban anarchy CNN and other media propagandists described as “mostly peaceful.”
Rioters have taken over L.A.’s streets, and attacked officers trying to rid the city of criminal aliens. Anarchists have set vehicles on fire, looted businesses, torn up sidewalks, and blocked the 101 Freeway, while flying Mexican and Palestinian flags.
Why “Palestinian flags?” ICE has no involvement in the Israel/Hamas conflict.
Many insurrectionists are the same misfits who appear at most radical leftist protests. The “causes” vary, but, generally, the same leftists use each “protest” as an excuse to act out. The “cause” is irrelevant, anti-American violence is the priority.
The L.A. “protesters” are organized and well-funded. Their signs are pre-printed, and, again, cinder blocks are available to throw at anything the insurrectionists don’t like, primarily officers and their vehicles.
Governor Gavin “A Little Dab’ll Do Ya” Newsom was clearly more focused on excusing the rioters than on protecting California’s legal citizens. Newsom came to the defense of illegal aliens who, he said, are just “trying to live their lives and pay taxes,” albeit, this time, on the streets – and violently.
Newsom tried to blame President Donald Trump and Border Czar Tom Homan for L.A.’s riots, mocked the administration’s efforts to restore order, and defied Trump and Homan to “arrest me.”
L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, made public statements against the ICE and DHS efforts to detain and deport illegal, including criminal aliens.
Then, just when one imagined that public statements from prominent California politicians couldn’t get more depraved, former Vice-President, Democrats’ 2024 “presidential” nominee, and putative 2028 candidate Kamala Harris weighed in.
Here’s Harris’s written statement regarding the L.A. riots, in full:
“Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to promote chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.
“This Administration’s actions are not about public safety – they’re about stoking fear. Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process.
“Protest is a powerful tool – essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.
“I continue to support millions of Americans who are standing up to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms.”
Ironically, as the Biden administration’s “border czar,” Harris was instrumental in creating the immigration crisis America faces.
However, the findings on immigration in an April CBS-conducted post-2024 Election Day opinion poll showed that seventy-three percent, nearly three out of four Americans, say that deporting illegal immigrants is a priority.
Furthermore, 57 percent of Americans support a nationwide program to find and deport all migrants who are here illegally, no matter when they arrived. President Trump enjoys overwhelming public support to deal with any open borders insurrections in L.A. or elsewhere.
Harris, Newsom, Bass, and other Democrats have foolishly taken the side of violent protesters and criminal aliens in full view of a national audience.
Kamala Harris may be the most tone deaf politician in history.
Her statement criticized only the national government she aspired and may still aspire to lead; she couldn’t bring herself to refer to the conditions on L.A.’s streets as violence or rioting; and she had the audacity to write, “demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.”
Tell that to looted retailers, the officers who dodged rocks and Molotov cocktails from “peaceful demonstrators,” 101 Freeway commuters who couldn’t get home, or owners who watched their vehicles burn.
Harris took the obligatory shot at Trump, referring to “the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.”
In fact, Harris’s irresponsible statement incited violence by alleging that fighting against law enforcement is a “fight for justice” in defense of our “immigrant neighbors,” apparently including criminal illegals.
Think of it… “President” Kamala Harris…
