In Memoriam: Hilary Holste, Lincoln Institute Founding Board Member

Hilary E. Holste, of Green Tree, passed away on Monday, December 18th, 2023. Beloved Husband of Eileen (Stafford) Holste. Father of Robert L. Holste and Diane H. (Michael) Francis. Brother of the late Robert and David Holste and Barbara Barker (Larry). Brother-in-law of Patricia Gray.

Growing up, Hilary loved playing basketball and was a player for the Arnold High School basketball team. He was captain of Carnegie Mellon Basketball Team in his college years, where he studied chemical engineering. He was also an avid golfer.

Hilary was a dedicated member of the Green Tree and New Kensington Rotary Clubs and a recipient of the Paul Harris Award. He was a founding Board Member of the Lincoln Institute for Public Opinion Research, in Harrisburg, PA

He was an employee of PPG lndustries for 46 years as director of process engineering and held two patents.  His work took him all over the world and upon retirement he was a recipient of the distinguished PPG Collegiate award.
