Jimmy Kemp to Speak at 2019 PLC

(Harrisburg, PA) – Jimmy Kemp, President of the Jack Kemp Foundation will address the 2019 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference on the subject of enterprise zones and equality of educational and economic opportunity.   The 30th anniversary PLC will be held April 5-6, 2019 at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill (Harrisburg), PA. Best-selling author Kimberly Strassel of the Wall Street Journal will be the featured dinner speaker.

Mr. Kemp’s speech will be followed by a panel discussion on Conservative Solutions to issues such as poverty and economic empowerment moderated by Steve Bloom of the Commonwealth Foundation.

The Pennsylvania Leadership Conference is the premiere gathering of public policy conservatives each year in the Keystone State.  It is the largest and longest-running of the state-based conservative conferences regularly attracting a long list of conservative elected officials, scholars, journalists and activists for two days of speeches, panel presentations, workshops and networking.

Jimmy Kemp is President of the Jack Kemp Foundation, which he established in 2009.  Its mission is to develop, engage and recognize exceptional leaders who champion the American idea, beginning with the premise that the condition of your birth shouldn’t determine the outcome of your life.

The main program of the Foundation is the Kemp Forum, which is a debate and discussion series providing a platform for the civil competition of ideas. Focusing primarily on equality of opportunity, economic policy and foreign policy, recent Kemp Forum events have included leaders such as Sen. Tim Scott, Sen. Cory Booker, Rep. Mr. Kemp co-founded and is the Managing Partner of Kemp Partners, a strategic consulting firm based in Washington DC.  Established in 2002, Kemp Partners provides government relations and corporate affairs services to a diverse clientele.

He is also Executive Vice President of Group 47, a digital data storage company which is bringing to market a new archival media called DOTS (Digital Optical Technology System).

Mr. Kemp spent eight seasons as a quarterback in the Canadian Football League, finishing his career in 2001 with the Toronto Argonauts. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University. He and his wife, Susan, have four boys and reside in Washington DC.
