Let Freedom Ring Supports
RSC Jobs Plan "Jobs Through Growth"
Launches JobsThroughGrowth.com to Educate Public, Pressure Congress to Pass Jobs Through Growth

WILMINGTON, DE — Let Freedom Ring, a non-profit, nonpartisan public policy membership organization, endorses the Republican Study Committee’s new jobs plan "Jobs Through Growth" and has created a new web site at www.JobsThroughGrowth.com to educate Americans about the plan and allow them to take action to pressure Congress to pass it.

Let Freedom Ring President Colin Hanna commented on the new jobs plan, saying: "Our economy will recover more quickly through growth than through direct government spending. The power of growth in the private economy is similar to compounding interest. Growth creates a virtuous cycle. Businesses inherently want to invest, hire and grow. History clearly shows that removing the barriers to economic growth by reducing the current regulatory and tax burdens will result in a rapidly growing economy. Left on the current path, the economy will be in a double-dip recession and millions of Americans know that government stimulus has not worked and cannot work."

The new website reads, "The free market is the greatest and most natural force for job creation ever conceived, because it is rooted in the concepts of capital formation and wealth creation. Regulation, taxation and uncertainty about the future are barriers to free market-based job creation. The first step to unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit of America is for Washington to get out of the way."

On the flip side, the Jobs Through Growth initiative decries government spending as a way to create jobs. "The alternative to job creation based on free market economic growth is job creation based on government spending," according to JobsThroughGrowth.com. "However, when government creates jobs through spending, those jobs are never self-sustaining because they do not create economic value. They require continuing spending. Worse, government spending can be a net destroyer of jobs by crowding out more effective private sector investment."

Let Freedom Ring is a non-profit, nonpartisan public policy membership organization, with a three-pronged mission: to promote constitutional government, economic freedom and traditional values. The organization was formed to counter the attacks of anti-conservative groups on patriotic candidates as well as attacks on the important issues of our day, including family, marriage, the economy, energy, abortion, health care and foreign policy, to name just a few. Let Freedom Ring also works to keep constituents and the media informed about what our founding fathers’ intentions were and how history shapes laws and our culture today, ultimately with the intent of returning our country to the great nation it once was.

Let Freedom Ring and a coalition of conservative organizations such as Americans for Prosperity, Americans for Tax Reform, Tea Party Express and 60 Plus Association are all endorsing the JobsThroughGrowth.com web site and the petition, encouraging Americans to educate themselves on the growth-spending paradigm and sign their names to state their belief that spending is not the way to create jobs for Americans.
