Lincoln Radio Journal adds Scott L. Rehr to Pennsylvania public Affairs program

     (Harrisburg, Pa., November 22, 1999)  Lowman S. Henry, Chairman/CEO of The Lincoln Institute of Public Opinion Research, a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania based non-profit educational foundation, announced today that Scott L. Rehr, President of the HomeState Group of Lancaster Pennsylvania, has been added as a regular feature of Lincoln Radio Journal, the Institute’s statewide syndicated public affairs radio program.

     Mr. Rehr’s feature contributions called HomeState Economy will focus on business trends among Pennsylvania’s major employers and publicly held companies.  This feature will include the business outlook, technology growth, and government’s role in the development of better economic conditions in the Keystone state.

     Mr. Rehr is one of Pennsylvania’s most respected mutual fund company managers.  In 1986 he helped guide the development and introduction of The William Penn Funds and served as the Funds’ vice president from 1986 – 1990.  He is one of three founding partners of Emerald Advisers, Inc., investment advisor to the HomeState Funds, establishing the company in 1991.  In 1992 he led the introduction of the HomeState Pennsylvania Growth Fund and HomeState Select Banking and Finance Fund and HomeState Year 2000 (Y2-K) Fund in 1997.  Based in Lancaster, Emerald currently manages over $700 million in assets, including advisory accounts for Pennsylvania’s state employees, school employees, and municipal employees retirement funds, and several corporate and public pension funds.

The Lincoln Radio Journal, produced since 1994, is a bi-weekly half-hour public affairs program focused on statewide and local economic and business climate issues.  It is broadcast on 77 of the state’s leading radio stations.  Other regular features include results of statewide and regional polling by the Lincoln Institute, pollster/economist Al Sindlinger’s Household Money Supply Reports, the Non-Profit Spotlight hosted by Joseph Geiger of the Pennsylvania Association of Non-Profit Organization (PANO), and essays by the Institute’s Senior Commentator, Albert Paschall.   Mr. Henry hosts and produces the program.
