Minnesota (not so) Nice

Developments may rectify the disorder in Minneapolis, but, to date, it looks very much like insurrection.
Before addressing the particulars of resistance to the lawful activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers there, here are some things we know:
- ICE’s mission is to, “Protect America through criminal investigations and enforcing immigration laws to preserve national security and public safety.” ICE, the Department of Homeland Security’s premier law enforcement agency, employs highly-trained professionals assigned to “mitigating transnational threats and safeguarding our nation, communities, lawful immigration, trade, travel, and financial systems.”
- In four years, the Biden/Harris administration waved in at least eight million never-vetted illegal aliens, including gang-bangers, criminals and terror watch list suspects. Several hundred thousand unaccompanied minors went missing.
- ICE has been rescuing minors, and locating, arresting and deporting criminal aliens, the worst of the worst, who, in addition to the crime of entering the U.S. illegally, have engaged in illicit activities such as drug and human smuggling, child and female trafficking, rape, domestic abuse, theft, and murder, among other felonies.
- Public safety has improved in dozens of states where local and state authorities are cooperating with ICE.
- So far, violent resistance to ICE’s lawful work has primarily occurred in Minnesota, where a multi-billion dollar fraud ring was recently uncovered – one possibly having links to elected officials.
The anti-ICE activity in Minneapolis is clearly organized, and credible allegations have tied its oversight to the top of the state administration.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey are under scrutiny for inciting anti-ICE chaos.
In fact, Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan instructed leftists to “put your bodies on the line” to protest ICE.
Now, two people are dead for putting their bodies on the line, interfering with and violently obstructing ICE.
A Minnesota Public Radio News photojournalist who was on-scene covering the first deadly ICE incident, revealed that the “victim,” shot for attempting to run over an agent, was driving the lead of several SUVs deliberately blocking federal agents.
The driver was a member of a formal anti-ICE organization centered in Minneapolis called “Signal” that also covers St. Paul, Bloomington, and other suburbs. Signal’s professional website provides training materials and communications; subgroups – local chapters – cooperate to locate, and mobilize to obstruct ICE. Plus, an affiliated member of Antifa in Minneapolis issued a call for “armed” resistance.
A hacker has uncovered donors and members lists of Signal-affiliated insurrectionists allegedly including judges, media, and elected officials.
The second anti-ICE obstructionist to die was also a Signal member. Aggressive obstruction, a loaded handgun, full auxiliary magazines, and resisting arrest got him ventilated.
Their names will go unmentioned here, because the left is trying to portray them as “martyrs.” So are the public officials who helped to incite violence, even though both would be alive today if Minnesota Democrats had just let ICE agents collect dangerous criminal aliens from their jails.
Insurgents appear to have real-time access to the national license plate registration data base and car rental records, so they may have local law enforcement and/or government support.
The local police chief effectively endorsed violence against federal officers, saying, “…even if there is an investigation that ultimately proves that…the shooting…was legally justified, I don’t think that even matters at this point…. People have had enough!”
But, apparently, some haven’t had enough of the roughly 3,000 criminal aliens, including murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and other dangerous illegals ICE arrested in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Activists and certain elected officials are clearly trying to protect criminals.
After days of often-violent disorder, Governor Walz finally got “serious.” He called in the Minnesota National Guard, but, rather than assisting ICE, troops were detailed to serve coffee, cocoa and snacks to the troublemakers. Will the guardsmen be awarded “barista” campaign ribbons?
However, insurrection is not the only problem Democrats have created or allowed to flourish in Minnesota. The Trump administration is also investigating $billions in child care, transportation and Medicaid fraud that’s occurring on Governor Walz’s watch, especially among Minnesota’s large Somali community.
Minnesota Democrats are obstructing that effort, too.
Are the two affairs related? Is insurrection designed to distract from the fraud? Did Minnesota’s elected officials know? Did they profit?
Both matters could resolve quickly. The feds are involved, and the first snitches get the most favorable plea deals.
