PETA Full of (Vegan) Baloney

The wacko “animal rights” group PETA has written to the Mayor of Lebanon, Pennsylvania asking that the city end its tradition of dropping a huge bologna to ring in the New Year.

Central Pennsylvania cities and towns have a history of rivaling the New York City Times Square ball drop by dropping (or raising) a variety of items. Hershey raises an iconic Kiss, Harrisburg drops a strawberry, Mechanicsburg a wrench, Lebanon – home to famous Lebanon Bologna  – drops an oversized bologna to herald the arrival of the New Year.

PETA took exception to the tradition and offered to replace the bologna with a vegan bologna.

City officials responded the tradition will continue and after the festive drop the bologna will be donated to a food bank.

As for PETA, they are full of . . . well . . . baloney!
