2012 PA Leadership Conference Seminars Announced
Activist Workshop, Bill of Rights focus of PLC seminars

Harrisburg, PA – The 2012 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference, to be held March 23rd and 24th at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill (Harrisburg), will include two seminars: an Activist Workshop co-presented by Americans for Prosperity and the Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity; and a session on the Bill of Rights presented by the Constitutional Organization of Liberty (COOL).

"Each year prior to the official start of the conference we provide participants with the opportunity for campaign or activist training, and the opportunity to learn more about our nation’s founding documents," explained Lowman S. Henry, President of the Pennsylvania Leadership Council. "This year we are going to concentrate on training conservative activists to be more effective. Our constitution seminar will focus on the Bill of Rights."

Activist training will be conducted by Jennifer Stephano, Pennsylvania State Director of Americans for Prosperity; Katy Abram, Pennsylvania Policy Director for the Americans for Prosperity Foundation; Eric Telford, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Outreach at the Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity; and Mary Ellen Beatty, Director of Citizens Outreach at the Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity.

Presenting at the Bill of Rights seminar will be State Senator Mike Folmer and Louis Petolicchio from the Constitutional Organization of Liberty (COOL).

Both seminars will be conducted on Friday, March 23rd from 9:00 A.M. until Noon at the Radisson Penn Harris in Camp Hill. Official start of the 2012 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference will be at 1:00 P.M. with U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform as the opening speakers.

The 2012 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference will include four interactive panel presentations including: Right-Sizing State Government moderated by Matthew Brouillette of the Commonwealth Foundation; Marcellus: How Shale We Proceed? moderated by Gregory Wrightstone for the PA Coalition for Effective Government; Obama’s Regulatory Overkill moderated by Colleen Sheehan of Villanova University; and Reaganizing the PA GOP moderated by Colin Hanna of Let Freedom Ring, USA.

Fox News Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume will be the featured speaker at the main conference dinner on Friday, March 23rd. Human Events Political Editor John Gizzi will be the Saturday, March 24th breakfast speaker. The conference luncheon on Saturday, March 24th will feature a debate among the Republican candidates for U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania moderated by David Taylor of the PA Manufacturers Association.
