PLC Update – Panel Topics Announced

HARRISBURG (PA) – In addition to key speeches by Laura IngrahamPat Toomey and Newt Gingrich, the 2007 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference will include four interactive panel presentations and a training session for county and local candidates.

This year will feature a Keynote Panel on the “Power of Conservative Principles” chaired by Susan Staub of Pennsylvanians for Right to Work.  Serving as panelists will be the chairs of last year’s panels: Matthew Brouillette of the Commonwealth Foundation; Kathryn English of the PA Club for Growth; Michael Geer of the Pennsylvania Family Institute; Colin Hanna of Let Freedom Ring, USA; Dr. Jake Haulk of the Allegheny Institute; and Lowman Henry of the Lincoln Institute.

The 2007 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference will also feature panel presentations on The PA Economy, chaired by David Taylor of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association; Reform, chaired by State Representative Curt Schroder; and Education, chaired by Simon Campbell of Stop Teacher Strikes, Inc.

This year’s training session, which will follow the Saturday luncheon, will focus on how to run for a local countywide and municipal office or a local school board.  The session will be chaired by Al Bienstock who is also a township commissioner.
