March 27-28 – "Progressive" World View is Contrary to the Vision of the Founders
Dr. Paul Kengor, Director of the Center for Vision and Values and Professor of Political Science at Grove City College, joins me on the program this weekend. Paul and I discuss the fact that the "progressive" agenda – embraced by Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Democrat President Barack Obama – is contrary to the political vision implemented by our nation’s Founders in the U.S. Constitution.
The "progressive" movement has been trying to modify our our constitutional system of government to the point of destroying it for the past 100 years. This destruction began in earnest when Woodrow Wilson instituted the Federal Income Tax, continued with FDR’s "New Deal," LBJ’s "Great Society," and is now continuing with Barack Obama’s government takeovers and big government legislations. The Founders would completely disagree with this advancement of power, which limits individual liberty and freedom.
Lloyd Marcus, a black conservative, tea party patriot, and featured columnist for the American Thinker, also joined me on the program to discuss his recent article, "NAACP Image Award Reaches New Low." Lloyd’s mission is to "spread the ‘truth’ that conservatism is best for all Americans." He is a terrific guy who rejects the political left’s redistribution and socialist policies. Growing up in a new government housing project in Baltimore, Lloyd learned at an early age that government does not improve individual lives by giving them free housing, free food, and free healthcare. Instead, individuals earn self esteem by taking responsibility for their own actions and their own future. Like me, Lloyd believes that the United States is the greatest land of opportunity in the world.
