Harrisburg PA – The 2011 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference will be held Friday, April 8th and Saturday, April 9th at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill (Harrisburg), Pennsylvania. A state-level version of CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference), the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference is the largest (over 600 will attend this year’s event) and longest-running state conference (our 22nd year) in the nation.

The featured speaker at this year’s conference is Fox News Analyst and Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Dr. Charles Krauthammer who will address the conference dinner on Friday, April 8th along with U.S. Senator Pat Toomey and Pennsylvania Lt. Governor James Cawley. Presidential hopeful Herman Cain, the former chairman of Godfather’s Pizza, will deliver the keynote address on at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 9th.

Also scheduled to address the 2011 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference are former Virginia Governor James Gilmore, now President of the Free Congress Foundation; Rose Tennent of the Quinn & Rose Program; John Gizzi of Human Events, John Fund of the Wall Street Journal, Tim Phillips of Americans for Prosperity and state senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Jake Corman.

This year’s conference will also feature four interactive panel presentations including: Path to a Better Pennsylvania moderated by Matthew Brouillette of the Commonwealth Foundation; Curbing Union Power moderated by Simon Campbell of Stop Teacher Strikes; School: It’s Your Choice with moderator Otto Banks of the REACH Alliance; and TEA Time: Effective Grassroots Activism moderated by Katy Abram of Americans for Prosperity.

Prior to the official opening of the conference on Friday April 8th from 9:00 A.M. until 12 Noon there will be concurrent workshops: a campaign session on running for office, and a seminar on fundamentals of the U.S. Constitution. Friday evening following the banquet Young Americans for Freedom will host a screening of the pro-school choice film Waiting for Superman. On Saturday, April 9th beginning at 2:00 P.M. Americans for Prosperity will hold a blogger conference.

The Pennsylvania Leadership Conference is the premiere annual gathering each year of conservative activists from across the commonwealth. The conference will also feature over 40 exhibits from sponsoring organizations.
