Things That Make Me Laugh, ‘Liberals’ Edition

Perhaps my sense of irony is a bit overdeveloped, but some things just make me laugh, especially the antics of smug, condescending liberals who are totally oblivious to the entertainment value they provide.

It’s ironically amusing that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the four-time vaccinated, double/triple-masked panic-monger whom the left has canonized despite being wrong about everything COVID, contracted the virus. He reportedly experienced mild symptoms – just like almost everyone else infected by the mild variant du jour.

Since most of America is ignoring Fauci’s COVID mania, it’s possible that his announcement was the only way the diminutive, albeit massive egoist could still attract the public attention he so obviously craves.

After the U.S. Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade, liberal Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed American women seeking abortions that they were welcome in Canada – on the condition that they had received COVID-19 vaccines.

So much for, “My body, my choice.”

In mid-June, twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lashed out – ironically – at former-President Donald Trump, accusing him of a “criminal conspiracy” to overturn the 2020 election,

Following her loss to Mr. Trump in 2016, Hillary said, publicly, “You can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you.”

Hillary also said, “He knows he didn’t (beat me)…he knows he’s an illegitimate president.”

Special Counsel John Durham has proven through evidence and testimony that the person responsible for the scurrilous 2016 Trump “Russian collusion” slander was Hillary Clinton.

If we’re going to prosecute criminal conspiracies, let’s start there.

Who else finds it amusing that left-liberal carbon-based life forms have proposed taxing … carbon?

In May, world leaders met at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switerland. Listed among their agenda items was “A Path to Net Zero” on carbon emissions. Ironically, many/most of them flew in on private jets and took gas guzzling limos to the conference.

One attendee, former U.S. Secretary of State and current “climate czar” John Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, own multiple homes and cars, a yacht, and a private jet.

Their Gulfstream IV jet alone emits more carbon in a handful of trips than an average American family produces in a year.

Apparently, “Net Zero” is only for the little people.

In perhaps the most sardonically amusing irony of the century to date, on June 14,  President(ish) Joe Biden issued “A Proclamation on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, 2022.

Seriously…

Biden’s announcement was full of awkward locutions that once again highlighted his advanced age, creeping dementia and inability to even read a teleprompter accurately.

Who is more guilty of elder abuse than Biden’s wife, his staff, and the party hierarchy who encouraged this clearly-diminished man to run, and continue to let him make an embarrassing spectacle of himself nearly every time he appears in public?

Then, on July 3, liberal Salon magazine published an article entitled, “How Joe Biden is like America’s founding fathers…

If, by “like,” they meant “(mostly) bipedal,” or “born about the same time,” then … sure…

On racial matters, Jonah Goldberg observed:

“We’re… told we’re racists…that conservatism is full of racist codes and dog whistles…yet the only people who consistently decipher these codes or hear these dog whistles are liberals themselves. […] Liberals see themselves as sinless and heroic on matters racial, so their opposite numbers…must be sinful and villainous… It’s a form of lazy categorical thinking that…fails to take account of reality in order to sustain a self-serving narrative.

“I don’t think liberals appreciate how much conservatives laugh at this stuff.”

Tell me, liberals, does anyone fall outside these categories: 1) oppressors, 2) the oppressed or 3) you, the PROTECTORS OF THE OPPRESSED (echo, echo…)?

The book, What’s the Matter with Kansas? hit bestseller booklists in 2004, alleging: Some people are too stupid to grasp their “best interests,” so they vote conservative when they should be voting for Democrats.

That premise will be thoroughly tested this November.

Many liberals define simple disagreement over cultural matters – over anything, really – no matter how well-expressed, as  “hatred,” and respond angrily, viciously – hatefully – against it.

This irony is completely lost on them, too.

As a group, liberals tend to lack self-awareness; most have no sense of irony at all; and they hate being laughed at, even though they earn it daily.
