Whither Joe Biden?

It is not certain that President(ish) Joe Biden will appear on the November 2024 ballot.

Biden is already over eighty. His obvious age-related physical and mental infirmities argue against a second term, especially when one includes his undistinguished intellectual and professional histories: Biden is an ambitious mediocrity who has somehow managed to become wealthy while sucking at the public teat nearly all of his adult life.

Despite print, broadcast and digital media’s efforts to ignore or suppress it, emerging evidence of Biden family corruption and lawlessness is reaching the voting public.

Moreover, Biden’s “presidential” record is an ongoing liability.

In February, the Congressional Budget Office projected a $6 trillion cumulative deficit increase during Biden’s first half-term.

Biden has set a new record for inflation. Gas prices soared after Biden took office, the product of his energy policies. Under Biden, the average American family has lost $7,100 in purchasing power due to inflation and high interest rates.

As a result of Biden’s refusal to enforce U.S. immigration laws, our southern border is controlled by criminal cartels which smuggle drugs and exploit men, women, and, especially, children. His administration has been secretly relocating illegal aliens across state borders into cities, suburbs and family neighborhoods.

Biden’s administration botched the Afghan withdrawal, and turned over $billions of military weaponry, equipment and supplies to Taliban mountain tribesmen.

In total disarray, Biden’s foreign policies have alienated allies, encouraged Russia and made China ascendant in world affairs.

Biden has thoroughly politicized the enforcement of federal law. His Justice Department harshly punishes peaceful January 6 defendants, while Antifa and BLM rioters who actually tried to burn down federal property remain unprosecuted.

Commentator Kurt Schichter held nothing back: “Since allegedly getting elected president, Joe Biden has gotten his ancient behind kicked by the Taliban, by Kevin McCarthy, and by a…sandbag to name just a few of the groups, individuals, and inanimate objects that have bested the worst president since Jimmy Carter. This guy is not well. Some might call him senile. Some might call him dumb. Some might call him…corrupt…. And some might call that list a good start.”

Furthermore, Biden lacks a moral compass. He has spent his first term promoting a lengthy list of political, social and cultural shibboleths to which every Democrat candidate must genuflect. His health, record, and corruption aside, ironically, it may be Joe’s obeisance to left-liberal orthodoxy that costs him a second term.

The White House openly supports targeting young children with sexual brainwashing and encourages “gender-affirming” surgeries. Biden has threatened “immediate action” against state governors, legislators and attorneys general who have outlawed radical procedures on minors.

Biden has gone out of his way to portray half the country as evil, anti-democratic proto-fascists. In a now infamous speech, he ranted about the “threat” of “MAGA Republicans,” and effectively defined his opponents – normal Americans – as existential threats to the country.

“As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault,” he blustered. “MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies.”

Biden expressed a common view held by American leftists who think that fellow citizens who merely disagree with them should be ostracized, lose jobs, or, better, threatened and/or incarcerated by powerful federal agencies.

The Biden administration is in thrall to identity politics. Following in former President Barack Obama’s footsteps, Biden has transformed and fully invested the federal bureaucracy into the cult of DEI – diversity, equity, and inclusion. In 2021, Biden issued an executive order to establish a “government-wide initiative to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all parts of the federal workforce.”

That includes the American military, the mission of which, supposedly, is to be a lethal threat to foreign adversaries rather than a series of experiments in woke nonsense.

Now Biden’s DOJ is harassing parents who oppose racial and sexual indoctrination of children in public schools.

Biden’s provocations and inanities are multiplying. His administration has become a prime example of Blair’s Law.

Coined by journalist Tim Blair, Blair’s Law is “the ongoing process by which the world’s multiple idiocies are becoming one giant, useless force.”

His presidency a failure, Joe Biden has become the politically-, intellectually-, socially-, and culturally-bankrupt figurehead of a radical, corrupt, malevolent, defective regime.
